Urn building #5: Urn sizing

This is part 5 in a 5 part series: Urn building

From my research, each 1 pound equates to 1 cubic inch.  I have decided to construct the urns I'm building to accommodate the typical plastic temporary urn.  I picked one up today.  Thankfully it fits easily within the urn I already completed.  The person at the crematorium suggested making some extra allowance (about 1/8 inch) as some of these temporary boxes have a different type of clasp that is proud of the side.

Here are the dimensions of the temporary box - for an adult.

I use 6x6x8 inside diameter.

I'm going with a bit larger so the plastic box can slide inside. It does put some added constraints on dimensions which is the downside of not just placing the bag with the cremains inside. Not really necessary, but is how I'm designing these first two.
