Hall Table

We have a short wall near our entry and next to a formal dinning room. This piece fits the wall and is of similar design to our antique dinning room set from the 1800’s. I’ve done several slender leg tables but this was my first set of turned legs. I used Black Walnut with Birch secondary woods and for the drawers. The joinery is mortise and tenon. There is a dovetailed drawer with front matched grain. It is finished it with several coats of wiping varnish.
