Black Cherry Burl Pen
Some years ago, I ran a project called ServicePens.
I made and collected handmade pens from folks all over the country.
These would be given to the men and women in the armed forces who protect American freedom.
This is one of those pens which I made.
Overall, we donated about 5,000 pens.

nice pen gary,love that burl. the first pen i ever made was at a rockler event where they taught you how to turn a pen then they were all donated to service people. they had us include a note with our names and address but i never heard back from anyone.
working with my hands is a joy,it gives me a sense of fulfillment,somthing so many seek and so few find.-SAM MALOOF.
