Once again great job. I’d love to know more about the seat. I see you have the front legs much higher than the rails. How much build up did you use to get the seat to rest on the front leg? Or did you trim the front legs down? Tell me more about how you covered the seats ig…thickness of the seat wood. What type of material under the covering. did you use actual leather?. Im impressed!

Yeah I love mahogany but I cant get it here unless I order through the mail. I can get much other stuff. I love the color on it. What did you use?
Jeff Vandenberg aka "Woodsconsin"
Thanks Jeff the front legs were trimmed flush after the mortise & tenon was complete this was a dry fit. The seat was made of 1/2" plywood & 1 1/2" foam covered with burgundy vinyl. The finish is polyurethane about 8-9 coats. It get darker with age. She said they use it daily & it gets the family to sit together for meals.

It a good solid piece. Look very well built and good finish. Tell that grandson I expect him to call me when he turns 18 I’ll hire him. Most kid his age are afraid of a shaper. Great project and keep him interested.
Great job,I love to see family working together in the shop.
