I did this one 18 years ago. Based on a plan but bought a book on building lap strake boats. All strakes and frames are attached with hand hammered rivets. It's gone through a couple grandkids and now holds a bunch of dolls.

That is cool, and even more so building it old school. I have done quite a bit of reading on the subject and there are some difficult task in boat building. I bet smaller scale like this would be harder, not much room to fudge measurements.
