What did you get?

Reminds me of my Dad when he brought home the label maker than used the black tape and made white characters. Everything in the garage had a label after that.
oh yeah the ol dymo lable maker ! still got one. also have one of the electronic ones.

working with my hands is a joy,it gives me a sense of fulfillment, somthing so many seek and so few find.-SAM MALOOF.

I thought I'd treat the wife to one of the electronic ones. She went nuts with it as well. They are nice 'n' cheap with the introductory labeler and sample tape, but like inkjets the cost of the tape soon passes all. Heck, I even bought a 48 count of AA batteries just to feed that horror show!.

Fortunately I'm an old school masking tape and sharpie guy. If I want "bling", I'll cover it with packing tape for that glossy finish.
Looks like Tony is having fun.

Nice to see you busy with your laser. Last year I also bought one, which I use every now and then for some light engraving work. The positioning of the wood to be processed can sometimes be difficult. That is why I lasered a grid on the bottom for aligning the wood. But even then it can be difficult to determine the position. This has resulted in me often lasering on an oversized piece of wood first and then sawing the wood to size.Β

yes dutchy that is the best way for me also but then oversize wood dont fit to good under it and have to raise machine which changes laser burn always learning πŸ™„πŸ‘€πŸ‘

I do not talking about the high. I,m talking about a bigger surface. What you can also do is laser cut loose pieces of wood, cut them to size and glue them on your workpiece.Β

Recommend picking a favorite font now before you feel the need to relabel everything! 😬
Tony, Fun project I broke mine out last weekend and just bought some plywood from the craft store to start playing with it this weekend. Looking forward to seeing what I can do. Have to catch up and compare notes at some point.Β

Very good work that's the drill!

Now I hope you don't have fingers 1 and 2 missing?
