My daughter's Crayon Truck

When I retired 7 years ago I started making wood toys. These have been given away to any child or parent who would wander into my shop. You can imagine my chagrin when my grown daughter saw one of my 24 crayon 2×4 trucks that I was making and asked me; "Can you make me a 64 crayon truck, please?". How could I say, "No"? As we were building her tiny house she even created a garage for it in one of the lockers.

Some of my most creative moments have been when I've had to cover up an error in my woodworking.

Another mind bending project, that looks cool. Well done.

Very cool! 12 points --- this could be  clock face.
Very puzzling. And well done.
Loving that style!

Ryan/// ~sigh~ I blew up another bowl. Moke told me "I made the inside bigger than the outside".

This one is the most complex so far.

If these are solid 1/2” x 1/2” pieces and not stained then why is one side light and one side dark.  just trying to understand what’s going on here. Or maybe I misunderstood your explanation.
Because there are 2 different species glued together. What you point to is a 1/2"X1/2" piece of black walnut glued to a 1/2"X1/2" piece of hard maple. The other specie represented is domestic cherry, that would be the tan parts. There are 12 fabricated units. Each unit is made from 4 individual pieces of material. Each species was milled to 1/2"X1/2".
