This is something I could do today!
I have a few of those clamps that could withstand a single leg gator chomp so the other could be clamped into the vise.
Now for the mug engraving, not so sure about that. Even though that is one dapper dude, the constant staring while I work is a bit unnerving.

That is a good idea Autophobid. It looks like you can clamp it to the bench from the face to keep the screws handles out of your way, and add another clamp for more stability.
Looks like high vices are all the rage. Something doesn’t sound right about having high vices.
I think I’ll go to Harbor Freight and buy a few hand screw clamps and make myself a high vice.

I blame my doctor and SWMBO....
While the good willed doctor told me to stop drinking, SWMBO couldn't handle a sober stranger in her house... I only pay the doctor $70 per visit while SWMBO owns all my cash... so I stopped stopping...
