Steel Base Glass Top Dining Table

This is a six-seater dining table with a glass top and a beveled edge.  The glass top is complemented by a rustic industrial steel base, which is welded from sheet metal and treated with chemicals to create a decorative patina in shades of orange, brown, and black. The base is sealed with a clear coat to lock in the color and highlight the rich tones. It’s also weighted for added stability, with a steel crossbar holding the glass top in place. The table’s warm colors contrast nicely with the cool grays of the client’s dining room decor. The dimensions of the table are 30" high, 36" wide, and 84" long.

Project Location: Colorado Springs

What did you use to create the patina?

Ryan/// ~sigh~ I blew up another bowl. Moke told me "I made the inside bigger than the outside".

love the look but where's the wood 😕😁

working with my hands is a joy,it gives me a sense of fulfillment,somthing so many seek and so few find.-SAM MALOOF.

A little bit of junk yard dog meets dining room. A mix that I don't often see, but are there rules that apply to all tastes, nope. That is why everyone doesn't have the same dining room. If the client is happy, is what matters. Interesting build Brian.
Same location so I assume a piece to complement the bar install?

Very creative! The glass top does scare me though, that would be a hip slicer in my house.
I like the look of this, is it for the same client you did the wine tasting table for? I bet that glass was heavy, is it 1/4" or heavier and toughened?
Glad you found that Jason Wheeler website interesting. I seem to like designers who have their own look and with this piece and the wine room table you've certainly got your own look.
@ryanGI For the Patina, I used Viniger

@Pottz.  LOL

@SplinterGroup  Same City, different House. I started posting with city location because some people who want to start their own businesses want to know where my clients come from and how far my reach is. At this point, I have shipped to almost every state, but 90% of my clients are in my home state of Colorado.

@Renners Different house from the wine-tasting table, it is 1/2" thick glass and tempered

Interesting design.     The colors of the base are really great.   Nicely done.

Ron

Awesome, creative piece! Love the industrial feel.
