New Table for AZ Home

Here is my latest project using the typical woods in this home, Walnut, Maple & Cherry.

Two new things to me, I used a Domino tool for the joinery and used Blum under mount drawer slides.

The jury is still out on the Domino, I could have done faster using the drill mill to cut mortises and tenons with the table saw.  But sure I would pick up speed with practice.  At this time not going to buy one for myself.  The joints are very tight.

I love the Blum drawer slides.  They self close which is very cool.

The side view has holes so that I could screw the bottom together after all the pieces were in place.  I discovered that I could put the entire lower top in and out  without building it in place.  Just glued it and saved 8 longish screws.  Duh.

Added two pics during construction after initial post.

Used 5 coats of blond shellac with 2 coats of MW wipe on poly.   I like using poly as a top coat on tables.
