OAR - MEDALS HANGER

For a member of the rowing club, I made a medal hanger in the shape of an oar.
The handle is made of a beech bar measuring 80cm/35mm. Before shaping the oar from glued pine profiles 35x16x4.5 cm, I drilled 35 mm holes for the handle.
I shaped the oars on a band saw with a lot of sanding. The inscriptions were written with a pyrograph.
I made the oar holders from oak, in such a way that one side can be easily lifted and the medals inserted.
Everything is varnished with matte varnish.

Nicely done. Right down to the hangers that add nicely to the design.
