rotating planer/mitersaw stand

First off. I did join this site quite a while ago and have been lurking a fair bit, so I thought I should finally post some thing. Also I hang out on another wood working site so I hope cross posting is OK.
I recently purchased a new Makita LS1016. As I’m working out of a single car garage, every thing has to be mobile. The original planer stand was functional, but big on ugly. I watched a You tube vid from “Guys Garage” and pretty much liked his design. He has included a Sketchup drawing (for down load) on his Y/T site. The original plan shows the planer sitting at 90° from where mine is but as I don’t have the optional in feed tables I built my own and turned the planer to be able to use the side rails for the tables. This kind screwed me for mounting the saw tables on hinges…but oh well. It rotates quite well and is darned solid. I used 6” of 5/8” rod on each end for the pivot points. If anyone is sitting on the fence about building some thing like this…You should probably go ahead. It’s a fun project and damned practical. Thanks for lookin.

Nice build
