I like that wood with the red streaks. Fingers crossed that it stays put!
Wonder if an impervious finish (poly, lacquer, etc.) would slow down any fading.

yeah great box but sadly that beautiful red will fade away. i made nightsatnd tops with it and the red is all gone now 😞

Nice, and in particular the type of wood. I had not heard of it from elder, and my first thought was Parana pine.
