Hey you don’t live where its very cold do you?. If you do I know here in Wisconsin no plumbing can be in any outside wall because the piping will freeze. Just asking
Jeff Vandenberg aka "Woodsconsin"
Hey Jeff. We are on the gulf coast in southern ms. We rarely have winter. However any piping on outside walls has to be insulated. We usually get away with packing the wall insulation behind the pipes. Another good thing is I have no inspector on this job to have to deal with. The only inspection to be done is outside electric service will be inspected before the sewer can be tied in. A little weird huh.

Your getting there man. Like Jeff, we could never get away with water on an outside wall now. My own house however has it in the kitchen but it’s inside the insulated wall away from the Gyprock by 4 inches. That was code sixty years ago here. We have multiple power outages for days ata time every winter here with temps going down to -25C. Frozen pipes are a reality a lot of winters for people that don’t know how to drain stuff if the power goes out.
