Flag Case

I completed this flag case for my fathers burial flag earlier this month. It has found a new home at my older sisters condo on the St Johns River in Florida. It was presented to her on the 4th anniversary of his death.
It is constructed out of mahogany with a couple of laser engraved hickory inlays .
He was a sailboat maker and used a lot of mahogany in the construction of the Melges sailboats back when they were made from wood.
I used a few coats of Waterlox sealer and wood finish and a couple of coats of Waterlox satin finish.
