I was recently asked by my sister to create something for a Hope Hospice sponsored fishing tournament that will be raffled after the weigh in. So I created this ten rod fishing pole rack for the event. I wanted to do something that I really haven’t had much experience with, so I decided to carve the two targeted species from the tournament into the side (redfish and snook). Hopefully this piece will bring in some money for a good cause. All lumber used was from pallet wood.

Ended up staining the fish. I didn’t like how they didn’t stand out. The lucky winner ended up being an old friend that I hadn’t seen in over 15 years. Was great fun

would you have plans for this? I am working with young people who have disengaged from normal schools and would like to get them connected to the art of fishing and woodwork. This is one of the best rod racks I have seen and feel that the young bloke that I'm working with would feel some success from building something like this.
