RPG game caddies

We play RPG games like Dungeons and Dragons. It’s really easy to lose track of dice, chips and other stuff. The caddy is made from a Western Red Cedar 2×4. The oval depression is a tray to hold dice. The big holes that overlap the edge hold poker chips, the slot holds player name cards and other cards, and of course, a hole for a pen.

Thanks Jim. These are just prototypes for play testing, so I cheaped out on materials, and just rubbed them with BLO for a finish. If the players like them, I’ll make some more and fancy them up a bit. I might use flocking in the dice and chip trays to make them more interesting

I like the edge – making it easy to get the chips out!

Thanks. Those holes are the reason why I bought my great big 20" drill press. It takes some muscle to turn a forstner bit that big. The bigger drill press also had much better hold-down capabilities.

Thanks Jim.
I’m actually quite surprised by the Editors Choice selection. It’s such a simple, utilitarian project I almost didn’t post it . :))

and that would be its merits! “simple, utilitarian project” :D

Just met with my gaming group and play tested the new game caddies. It looks like they were a hit. Looks like there’s also a possibility of making them for the hobby store that provides gaming space for the group. :-)

see???? an awesome creation!
