Demo Remains

This is a piece of spalted sugar maple that was at least 8 inches wide and 10 inch long. I did a demonstration at my turning guild. Brought the piece home to finish and it blew up on me. This roughly 2 inch piece is all that remains. The wood is from a tree that was cut down 3 years ago in my yard.
