The Penny Tower

One of my more recent boxes that is a little different.

The drawer pulls to the five drawers are old English copper pennies ( that’s 1d in our old money), dating from the top drawer down 1963 64-65-66 and 1967 There is also a Secret, ‘hidden drawer’ that has a silver sixpence drawer pull dated 1967. Drawers are lined with black flocking and felt pads are on the base to protect other furnitureThe overall size of this design is just over 13.5" tall ( 345mm ) by 4.75" at the base wide ( 120mm ) and 5" deep ( 128 mm) having a combination of the Laburnum, Iroko centre and Elm and finished to a high standard with TruOil for lasting finish.
