Display Case for a Gun

well this one took a while to make! It is a display case for a 1858 remington new army 44 cal. It was comissioned by a co-worker. Made of walnut and purple heart and the lettering out of end grain oak. It is the first time that I used splines in the mitered corners! The plines are made of purple heart. I really enjoyed this build!

Nice work Dave.

Really nice work. The lettering came out great. It just have been tough to work with the end grain. Very fragile. Good job.

Thank you Brian! Yes it was tough to work with the end grain! Had to switch blades to a crown tooth to slow things down a bit!
