This is a farmhouse dining table with a matching bench made for a family of six. The top is sealed with polyurethane while the base and bench is finished with a tung oil finish. I used pocket screws and glue to join the base. The top is also has pocket screws, but I used biscuits as well to help ensure the top was level. To attach the breadboards, I used mortise and tennons with a dowel to secure it. The top is slighlty rounded to give it a softer feel and prevent chipping of the wood.
A great looking farm house style table, two thumbs up!
