This table was designed by my wife for our child’s bedroom. It is made from 1/2” plywood and MDF.
The top has burners painted on one side to function as a kitchen set, and the other side is blank and can be a place to color to play with all types of toys.
To make the sides, I carefully cut one side out with a jigsaw, and got it shaped exactly how I wanted it. Then I could rough cut out the other side, and using double sided tape and a flush trim bit on my router table, I could make both sides perfectly identical.
To make the rounded corners, I created a template from scrap wood using a jigsaw, held it in place with double sided tape, and used a flush trim bit on my router table once again so that each corner was exactly the same.
My wife painted on the burners and then we finished it off with several coats of spray lacquer.
Super idea! Well done! Lots of fun to be had on that table!
