Built this Table and Bench out of solid cherry and the table has a granite top

Mike, I built this for a customer who wanted one for his kitchen. He showed me a picture of what he wanted, and we adapted it to fit his location.

How is the top attached?
Does a granite top make it top heavy?
Love the look of it. I like mission style and clean lines.
