Sanctity of the home

Is it just me, or does it seem like garages and old automobile license plates belong together?

A few years ago I needed to learn how to make ogee raised panels, and cope and stick profiled frames, and panel glue-ups for wainscoting that I was doing in the home. I practiced by building this panel which hangs high up next to the chimney in the garage.

It flashes me back to places we lived while growing up; cars we had; learning to drive; family adventures of camping and fishing; “snipe hunting” with pretty girls; trips to visit relatives; and how important family and home are.

I makes hanging out and doing projects in the sanctity of the home garage pretty cool.
