start with a magic ring , then make 7 chain work your tunisian simple stitch up and down this chain for 4 rows ( makes a rectangle ) then one double crochet stitch ( eng ) single crochet (US term) into the magic ring
repeat till you have 6 rectangles , tie off your yarn
Join your new colour to the top of one of your rectangles and make 7 chain , now work your Tunissian sst down the chain with your last stitch worked into the top of the rectangle , repeat for 4 rows ( or same width as rectangle ) the next block you make is done in the L shape between 2 rectangles , you repeat in this way all the way around only making 7 chain at the top of the rectangles where there is no L shape to work the blocks
