Chess Board

This is a walnut and maple chess board that we just made! The squares are 2 1/4″ × 2 1/4" and the playing board surface is 18″ × 18″. This one was a pickle to make because it fought us all the way! There are are 8 coats of lacquer on it giving it a glass finish. My beautiful wife sanded in between each coat. She does all my sanding and has become so good at it! Thank you for looking!
