re: Harbor freight clamps and clamps in general

I have at least fifty bar clamps from HF and have only had one fail. It was the newer type, with the softer handle. I plan on adding another twenty, or thirty, or. . . .

I also have the clamp you pictured. I use it because it weighs nothing. It’s the crappiest of all my clamps. If I’d move one of the 1/2" pipe clamps, having a pipe about the same length as the garbage clamp, the aluminum wannabe would move to the background, or become a donation.

All but a couple of my pipe clamps are Jorgenson. Even the red one/two I have, which are 1/2", have served well (don’t know where they came from). I usually use them for squaring large cabinets, because they are light.
