I switched to Blender. It's free. It's ridiculously powerful. Models can look extremely realistic.

Before I venture trying to learn a new program, can blender produce 2D parallel perspective 1:1 scale PDF.
I use SketchUp to design, but needed the Pro version so I could use Layout to export a PDF file for input into CorelDraw for laser engraving/cutting.
Cheap and woodwortking in the same sentenc is an oxymoron!
