I was wondering about that, I thought necroposting would either energize an old thread or be completely overlooked.  I too have no exterior wall insulation in my garage and I'm not about to tear all the drywall off just to add it.  The 14K BTU room A/C I bought works well enough provided I have it set cool enough in the morning so it's not trying to play catch up.  Less of a concern now that the temperature has fallen to low-mid 80's for a daily high.  Whenever and however I move forward with this shed, I'll certainly haul the room A/C up there first after the insulation is done before committing more $$ into something that may work or something that'll be way overkill.  The 12' walls give it good volume and if I spray insulate it, the attic space will also be conditioned, that will have to be taken into consideration when evaluating heat loss.
