I am in construction and have used several brands of sliding miter saws and have found that accuracy is always compromised to some degree when cutting a bevel when pulled out. I was in need of a very accurate miter saw for myself and did extensive research on the internet and finally settled on the Bosch 12" Dual-Bevel Glide Miter Saw.

This is a very heavy saw so if you plan on moving this a lot it will be a chore. Out of the box there was no adjustments needed it cut spot on. It has a duel bevel so I can cut a bevel from both sides of the saw. There were two selling points that grabbed my attention. One, the saw will set tight up against the wall because there are no guide rods for the saw to travel on. Two, because of the knuckle guide system there is almost no deflection when the saw is pulled out to the end of travel. Accuracy on long bevels is unbelievable. I made this multi jointed beveled picture frame and accuracy was a must because a 1/4 degree is a mile by the time you get all the joints together. This saw carries a very high price tag but well worth it.
