Hi Bruce. I know the different lasers have different purposes but for what I do on wood the 20 watt diode one is just fine. I had a few occasions, Ryan, to cut out a project I made and it did cut 5/32" plywood with one pass........lots of smoke though!!
This post was just to show that it will do metal with help of the Omtech spray. The actual metal pieces that I engraved with it are holding up real well and some are outdoors in the weather.
