I did a rapid aging test with some cherry for a project one time. I left sample from the same stock I was going to use outside in direct sun for different amounts of days (I think 1-5). It was pretty astonishing how different the colors were in such a short amount of time! I ended up ‘aging’ the milled project pieces, I think 3 or 4 days, before starting the final project. Definitely helped and it kept the color consistent.
