Whatever I do, I am going to be careful.  The plane gods have smiled on me.  I am pretty sure it is Type 2, No. 7.  I had so many planes at once, I could not tell a 6 from a 7.  It is a little over 21 inches long.



I figure the brass adjuster knob is dispositive.


The Valley Woodworker type study had this image. 

I don't know if being a Type 2 makes it more valuable, but it puts it in the timeframe with my H. Disston saw that goes back to 1865.

Outside of the moulding planes, those would be the oldest tools I have.

It does not match up with Type 3 which had a crazy frog design.  The iron may be a replacement from a Type 3 or Type 4, but the cap iron is correct.
