Let’s talk about hand planes. Ask questions, show what you have, show what you’re working on, ask what you have. There’s a lot of guy’s with a lot of knowledge to share.

Do we have too?

The enablers needed a new home Smitty. Nice way to start things off.
Pffft.  It don’t count if it don’t say Millers Falls on it ;-)
Kenny if you build it they would come. Smitty appeared out of the corn fields
If it's got brass, or rosewood, or cast iron, slotted screws, or even thumbscrews it's good here. Even if it says Millers Falls.

Yay! The hand plane thread is here!

Ryan/// ~sigh~ I blew up another bowl. Moke told me "I made the inside bigger than the outside".

That wasn't so hard, was it? Tiny little thing - is that a No. 2 equivalent?

This is a good start, I have a few, maybe 10. About 6 Stanley's, a couple of Miller's Fall, and a couple that I'm not sure about, need some restoration down the road. I need to get a plane till built before to long, clear up a small bench surface. I get a photo later, in from the shop for the night.

Maybe I can lure Don W out with this one.

I’ve only got a handful. About half are Stanley pre-war, but the rest are a just miss-match. I built a small till for the wall. I did pick up a pre-war Stanley #7 that’s not in the pic. Makes me happy!

Yep, #2 sized Frankenplane.  Fulton 3708 made by MF.  I got MF branded parts to replace everything but the body.  So a MF#7 body is still on my watchlist.
Thats a brand new #62 sweetheart Ryan?
Ryan, nice wall and nice till. Even better are the tools in (and on) it.

I think I knew about your frankenplane exercise, Kenny. It turned out well!

A Sargent always gets Don Yoda. Except he's probably in the middle of his move.

I don't want to know how many planes and saws and chisels are in my shop space. I really, really don't...

Yeah, a new build #62. Works well for certain applications. I use it mostly for my shooting board.

No issues with it out of the box Ryan? Its pretty square?
Don is still moving? Needed a few extra moving trucks to move the tools?
Your tool wall makes me a little angry Ryan.  What right do you have to have everything neat and organized when I have to dig through dozens of little makeshift hidey-holes to find what I need?
Still haven't gotten my grandpa's finished up.  Time to get the blade "redone" to square the front edge

Maybe posting this will get that farther up my list of things to do.
