Suddenly losing any ability is a royal PIA. I lost all of my strength, and had to relearn how to, stand up, and walk, in 2025. Bad outcome from a cancer drug Immunotherapy set me back big time. Currently if I want to do anything that takes longer than 1 minute I have to use my, new to me, electric wheelchair to do it. I'm finding just trying to walk farther, and be on my feet longer is helping rebuild my strength, and in turn has helped my mental health a LOT. It sux being where you are currently but keep plugging, and soon you will be walking around like you used to.

Storms are becoming part of our reality, not sure if there actually a lot more of them now, or if they have always happened, we just didn't know about ones more than 100 miles from home, but with always on, 24/7 news, and advances in media, now we know about the weather across the entire country. Of course the media only wants to tell sad tales, so we see destruction, rather than the happy ending stories they choose not to broadcast.

Hopefully it is a "walking cast" and that will allow weight bearing, best of luck buddy.
