I am 64 yrs. old. I have been retired for 9 yrs. My wife asked me to build our daughter a doll cradle. This happened about 32 yrs. ago. I said to her at that time, that I don't think I could build a doll cradle, and she might want to go buy it. My back ground is in other things. I have help build a cottage, framing, plumbing, and electrical. I've done it all. I spent 25 yrs. of my life working for Nortel Networks, and I retired from there. She finally convinced me to try and build the doll cradle. So I started looking around for the appropriate tools, and built the cradle. I discovered that I really enjoyed the process of building this cradle, I have made and sold, given away well over 100. Since then I have been asked to build other things as well, corner cabinets, coffee tables, book cases, doors. There is a lot more I just can't think of them now.
I have other hobbies as well, I ride and 1100 Vstar, I try and get out as often as I can. I enjoy riding by myself, because I don't have to ride like other people, and I can go where I want, and ride like I want. Now another one of my hobbies is cars, trucks, hotrods, just enjoy good looking cars. A number of years ago I belonged to an offroad club. I owned and rebuilt a Suzuki Samuria. I blew the engine on one of the runs we had, I took it apart, brought parts to the machine shop, then put it all back together. Ran like a top. Now I am in the process of looking for an older sports car to rebuild.
