You'll be looking out for some QS oak then Splint, I just looked at stickley.com, quite an interesting story and masses to drool over on their website.
got a maloof style low back chair half done that got put on the back burner. on the to do list is a Krenov style chest on stand and a hall table of yet to be determined design. great thread renners !

Potz, I remember reading the Cabinetmakers Notebook by Krenov when I was trying my luck as a cabinetmaker. The thing I remember to this day is him saying you need 30 good clients and not to overstretch yourself. It was as I recall a good read.
Makintosh makes me think of when Dinosaurs walked the Earth, massive compared to A&C and Stickley forms. He was big on those flared legs. If it wasn't beefy, it was 2 stories tall.
I have never made tall clocks. Always wanted to, but this house has zero room for one, and I don't plan to move. Heck, we don't even have room for mantle clocks, I'm SOL on clock sitting spaces. :-( Wall's are pretty full so even wall clocks are a hard thing to hang. Maybe I can make a watch.
Yeah, the chairs are a bit over the top, but certainly gives one a place to hang their trench coat before sitting!
My main draw to his stuff is in the details, pimping out without going full frontal fugly. Strong lines in the A&C style with the cool colors in the glass works

Yes Ron, remember that well! The layout and inlay work are real skills! Have you actually stuffed it full of spices or has it been "claimed" by another for more nefarious purposes?
I just looked your chest up Ron, it is an exquisite piece, so when you did the inlay work with the 1/8 " bit, did you have a template to work to and a guide bush?
