Jet JJ-6csxw motor help

Picked up a 6" Jet jointer in great shape for a great price. Only issue is that the motor isn't working.  I was curious to see what steps I should do to see what might be wrong with it? It's a standard 115v , 3/4 up motor.  For instance, how do I test the capacitor?
