If Martin doesn't deal with this or provide a way to block posts like this then eventually it will be the demise of Craftisian.
If this becomes prevalent many will leave.
Spam is,

but spying in my loung,

is criminal.

Have not gotten any spam through Craftisian to date.

I get spam a lot, just figured it's all part of using the WWW. Seems that as time goes by, there are more & more of those that will take great efforts to benefit their own agenda.
I don't know how to associate any particular website with the spam received, maybe you can educate me on this topic, would be grateful if so.
I have yet to see any spam here.

every time one would pop on id send martin a pm and they were gone. this one came on 2 months ago and followed me. then he seemed to go no further. i reported him but he's still here.

The spam I've been getting borders on comedy. It's the endless emails telling me my email provider is going to cancel me, after taking my fifty bucks (entering a contract).

The comedy come with the return email. Usually google. As if a service provider is going to use google rather than their own email access system.
We have annual "security" briefings at work. Our guy is one of the best. Amazing how devious the spammers are to get you to give up anything  that they can leverage.
72 percent of Americans combined wealth is held by citizens 55 and over.  Ergo, seniors are a prime target not because they are stupid but because they have money and are susceptible to a wider variety of scams.

Financial fraud is a billion dollar industry and has a larger profit margin than stores such as Walmart and Target.

Most victims run right through the red flags.   I certainly could provide you a list, but you can web search it.

So, slow down and think and heed the red flags.
Ps.  Scammers use a host of different methods and platforms to establish communication.

Just saying.
My town published this warning about a pretty slick scam:
Scammers are now targeting applicants with public hearings before Planning Boards, Zoning Boards of Appeals, and other municipal boards across New England.  They often demand additional fees using fake letterhead and spoofed phone numbers.

The names and addresses of those applicants are publicly available and the process they are going through can be confusing and frustrating.
