What am I doing? Maybe I Know, in a moment of weakness.
A tribute to D_W (that Lumberjock jerk).
After all the vitriol I’ve lately experience here, I feel ashamed of what some of us are doing, but more so fear of the demise of this forum.
Dear Father, hear my confession… before I sober up.
I can’t make recognition on LJ as have been banned, and if D_W has finally stopped being a total jerk, will not come here to read this post.
I won’t go into our/me feelings back there, but I had reservations.
A few years ago (before the 2022 armagedon), when we were bantering on a WEB site, a member who I won’t mention, (Dessert_Woodworker) made a quip that I for some convoluted reason took offence to.
I drafted (and sent) one of the most disparaging phrases I could invent and tried to degrade him in way not befitting any human being.
He took it in his stride and acknowledged his participation in our confrontation.
I reserve the words, but I don’t know whether he offered an up front apology, however, as I remember the incident, all my grudges dissipated… and after my outburst, I still managed to remained a member… back then, thanks for the discretion D_W).
After all that, I have no idea where we stand, however, I believe he has supported me somewhere on my Youtube (thanks D_W).
Now let’s try to leave religion out of this… While I’m a mick, I don’t go down to his level of contrition as he is just a BIG tad too religious for me, however, what he has portrayed has dissipated my venomous heart.
D_W… we may never be the besties, but you will always have my respect.
Anyone here that still has the repute of membership, would appreciate giving that rsole a head up link to this and a warning shot between his eyes in case he gets a big head.... and if you read this... DON'T sign up or I'll do a Dr. Quaker on you.

Desert Woodworker? Don't know much about him beyond having inadvertently earned his enmity. But he seemed to have had a lot of people blocked. :shrug:

Not saying how good he is or I am... all I'm saying is that with civil communication, two people can reach a mutual understanding.... we will never have babies, but I'm not looking for that gun for warning shots between the eyes.

DW is ok. If you recall i had a friend in a coma due to covid. He sent 2 of his" pocket" angles to me, which i gave to my friend. She survived after a 6 month coma. Nice thing to do.

Duckie, very magnanimous of you. Your heart is in the right place and I hope the target of your wrath gets a chance to see this. BTW, I have the very same instincts and sometimes use a flame thrower when a simple match would have been just fine. Isn't being human a bitch! :-)

The robots are of interest I am eagerly awaiting one that can wrangle a vacuum and do domestic chores.
the $60K (HK$? I guess) is almost better than a property and Cash grab women go for.
Now if there was one that looked good, ... (ie a sex robot) and had domestic skills I could put it to use and consider other features if I were to have the urge.

DW is a friend! When I was starting with a laser he was very helpful sharing projects, methods etc. LJ days.
When my daughter was fighting breast cancer he shared his pocket angel laser plan. I used it on many heart shaped pink breast awareness boxes I made for my daughter to give to fellow bc patients. Helped her a lot. She is now cancer free.
DW was always caring and shared his knowledge as well as trials and failures. I respect him a lot.
