Woodworking is my primary hobby but carving is my passion. My ambition with wood is to build the knowledge and skills to create heritage worthy functional art.

I've always had a passion for wood; the feel, the smell, the usefulness. Your creations can help others, provide a story or message, give joy or worst case provide heat.

I began carving in my early teens but put it aside for 20 years when family came along. When I returned after 2 1/2 years in York, England, the old craftsmanship inspired me to began my shop and acquiring tools. Now between my career and the shop, the wife seldom sees me. I think she likes it that way. I know I'm having a ball...at least in the evenings.
