Thanks Jim. This is a pseudo amber. It is turned, but the originals were made from staves and the bands were soaked in water and wrapped around the staves to hold them in place, while mine are just fake , being turned from the same blank. It does look pretty authentic though. It is my favorite turning and one of the few things I haven’t given away.
