Oh no you can’t stop there. Needs legs now. Seriously, the drawer itself is really beautiful and very fine woodworking but it distracts from the floating nature of that gorgeous live edge maple. Now you have two beautiful but mismatched objects. The only way to create harmony between them is to add legs so the point of view is always from standing (looking down) and the drawer is “hidden”. Then when you set up for play, open the drawer and then it gets it’s appreciation.
Sorry, sometimes I just have to sperg on stuff like that. The chess board is both creative and gorgeous. The drawer too. I’ve always admired your boxes. This one is just as beautiful and creative.
