Thanks all! I like that cherry develops a darker color as it ages... enhancing the contrast to the spalted maple panel. When I began 30 yrs. ago I did not take the color change of woods into account when making pieces. Often, an early contrast would develop into a blended colors as one wood darkened and the other sometimes became lighter. Lesson learnt. Non-yellowing finishes are also key to keep the spalted maple tone original in color.
