Wall Cabinet
Wall Cabinet with Interior and Exterior Drawers.. It has developed a beautiful deep, aged cherry color. The cherry contrasts well with the Spalted Maple door panel and recessed pulls. Hung using French cleat. Dovetailed drawers with inset pulls to create a low profile for doors. Although small, it features many of the techniques and skills I use in my furniture making. Designed to display art or decorative objects. The cabinet sides are also dovetailed to the top and bottom.

Thanks all! I like that cherry develops a darker color as it ages... enhancing the contrast to the spalted maple panel. When I began 30 yrs. ago I did not take the color change of woods into account when making pieces. Often, an early contrast would develop into a blended colors as one wood darkened and the other sometimes became lighter. Lesson learnt. Non-yellowing finishes are also key to keep the spalted maple tone original in color.

Good looking cabinet. "Krenovian" is the word that comes to my mind - lovely. Good overall ballance and nice little deails + superb grain selection.

The number and location of drawers is pure design. I also like to challenge myself and add unique elements to each furniture piece I create. I had always enclosed the drawers behind cabinet doors, so wanted to try something different. Thanks for asking!
