Thanks Brian. They where actually quite a bit of alignment issues. The pattern had cupped overnight and that translated to the final product. Maybe the difference of humidity in the ply substrate vs the pattern. Maybe the the douglas fir I am not sure.
The Douglas fir proved to be a bad choice as it overpower the cherry. I chose it as I was not sure how to proceed with the pattern and did not want to waste “fancy” lumber. I am pretty low on material.
