For the lathe, in addition to the hood at the back, I want to (project number 3,251) Y the hose and put a pickup just below and in front of the working piece.
As it is, having a hood makes a huge difference in fine dust issues.
Another thing I'm going to do is, install the clear shower curtains from the ceiling. A friend gave me conduit, four pieces with the sweeping 90's already on them, so I can hang them from the ceiling and slide them open, if I want. This should address a lot of the stuff that wants to spread out in front of the lathe in that it should hit the curtain and drop.
Wifey gave me four clear curtains from swap out on the shower (she washes them a few times, then tosses them when water stains build up to the point they annoy her).
