Both of those planes come in handy at times.  Never have used the Detail Rabbit Plane.  Those Veritas planes are the best.

Lee Valley's detail rabbet plane is one of the best little tools ever. So handy that I often just kept it in one of my apron pockets. 
It quickly breaks board edges. It's great for tidying grooves when making doors for cabinetry. It's small enough to tidy any corner to 90°. It fantastic at finessing controlled cuts in areas you could ordinarily trim only with a chisel. With very narrow soles, they are also useful for cleaning dados.
I agree. Lee Valley Veritas planes are top of the line.
