re: 6.5 x 55 Mauser Military Rifle Sporterization Project

Very nice rifle, almost too nice to shoot.  My oldest is ready for his first big boy rifle and I'm looking as classic as possible; blued barrel, walnut stock, etc.  It will almost certainly be a .308 or 30-06 but I'm a little concerned about how well he'll care for it.  It could end up being one of those things that he's only allowed to touch a couple times a year to shoot then extensively clean.
