Thanks Larry, I knew it as soon as I finished the top that the dimensions could be better.

Thank you Steven. I found a design on the web and used Illustrator to alter it to fit my box. Sometimes if the cut out areas are too close to each other the sections will burn together. If the wood is too thin, the top will lose integrity.  So being able to alter found art is very helpful.

Thank for the compliment Barb. I agree we all see our own mistakes others might not. I like this box top enough to maybe make the box over. I should have mentioned this one is a cut out also like my last couple of boxes.
